VET and CAREERS

Week 7 saw the New VET students attend their first weekly block. Attendance at CDU was excellent and there were many positive comments from lecturers regarding our students. Some students may be attending Short courses in Working at Heights and Working in Confined Spaces next week.

A letter has been sent home for parents of Year 9 students regarding their week block in Week 9 ( 29 March-1 April) and we will have a meeting on Wednesday morning with students to discuss questions and expectations.

Students in Ms McPhee’s OLSH Health Support Services class will undertake their First Aid certificate on Monday and Tuesday at school with an external trainer. It will be great to see so many students receive this valuable qualification, as part of their course.

Members of the Defence force will be presenting in the library on Monday Week 8 to any students interested in finding out more about a Career in the Defence force and ADF Gap Year.
Hopefully information on University Early Entry programs will be available for our Year 12 students next week.
