About Us
Founded in 1938, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College (OLSH) in Alice Springs is a symbol of enduring commitment and academic excellence. For over 82 years, OLSH has shaped confident, compassionate individuals, blending faith, culture, and life in their education. Guided by Catholic values and the Marist tradition, our mission is to empower students academically and spiritually. We celebrate learning, encourage achievement, and instill values of justice, love, and peace. Our Three Campuses
Bath Street
(Transition - Year 4)
The Bath Street Campus of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College caters for students from Transition to Year 4. As a Catholic College, we celebrate the message of Jesus Christ, placing great importance on our Christian values and celebrating an environment that embraces the importance of ensuring our school environment is: safe and nurturing, continually fostering a sense of belonging and promoting an educational climate conducive to learning.
Traeger Campus
(Year 5 - 8)
Traeger Campus is committed to supporting families and young people to build individual wellness in all aspects of their lives: intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual.
The curriculum implemented at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College Traeger Campus (Years 5 - 8) is achieved through the Australian Curriculum which is the approved curriculum framework of the Northern Territory Board of Studies. As a Catholic school, we place great importance on Christian values and creating a supportive and safe community. Religious Education is taught along with all the key learning areas. The General Capabilities and Cross-Curriculum Priorities are also integrated throughout the teaching and learning.
Saadeen Campus
(Year 9 - 12)
At the Senior Campus (Year 9 -12), our aim is to develop independent learners who are confident and responsible global citizens after they graduate from our College.
The overarching focus is to present opportunities and challenges to the students to achieve success in their final years of schooling. Our learning pathway provides various opportunities within the curriculum to support the students with their future career aspirations.
Across Year 9 to 12, we are committed to delivering a broad and meaningful curriculum and pastoral care activities that are designed to promote a love of learning and the education of the whole person, enabling the spiritual, intellectual, cultural and social development of emerging adults.

I would like to share my feelings. Olsh is amazing. In the first stage, I was so worried when I had to choose the school for my daughter because my first language is not English and I was worried about how they will treat my child and how they will understand. She’s in transition now. Her confidence is boosting day by day. Teachers are amazing at Olsh. Mrs Bec Scollen, Miss B. Amazing. Giving 100% to each and every child. Love the presence of teachers in assembly and breaks to take care of children.

Phenomenal Opportunities
My experience at OLSH has been a whirlwind adventure! Throughout the 13 years of my OLSH schooling experience there were numerous phenomenal opportunities that enabled me to explore my academic abilities, leadership qualities, our wider community and the beautiful outside world. This school has taken me to many places, including South Australia, NT's Top End, and even Japan. However, I can say one of the most purifying experiences I’ve had at OLSH was through the Marist Youth Ministry Game Changers program. This program took a group of students including myself to Melbourne where we experienced an eye opening retreat. We then continued to help build our leadership abilities, and our spiritual and self-awareness qualities through fortnightly meetings and local retreats.
Not only is OLSH a school which supports true academic awakening, it is also a school that justly values their Marist Characteristics, especially Family Spirit and Presence, within the college, classroom and wider school community. Additionally, if it wasn’t for the amazing staff, especially my senior year teachers, my schooling would have been a completely different experience. I had several teachers and mentors throughout my schooling that guided me not only through my academics but through personal hardships aswell. This is what Our Lady of the Sacred Heart is about; providing a learning environment that is safe and comfortable for all students, from all religious and racial backgrounds, and from all areas of uncertain and traumatic home lives.
OLSH was a place where my greatest friendships were made, where I discovered my morals, and where I worked my absolute hardest, with such a strong and stable support system behind me. This allowed my future endeavours to be within arm’s reach, and has led me to venture into a Bachelor of Midwifery next year! I thank OLSH for all the resources they provided me with, the community I was welcomed into and the person they helped me to become today.
