Year 12 Graduation Mass and Valedictory Assembly

1st December 2021

Year 12 Graduation Mass and Valedictory Assembly

Many thanks to Fr. Prakash Menezes, who led us on this special occasion. Great to see the whole school together and, as usual, Bath St. stole the show with their fabulous voices. It was a great leaving Mass for our seniors, with the traditional sight of our Transition pupils leading our seniors off stage in procession, out of Mass. A special mention to our Year 10 pupils, who set up the Marian Centre for the Mass, in the absence of our maintenance team. The Graduation Breakfast followed in the Foyer, where Mrs. Sue Ellem had prepared a delightful breakfast for parents, students, visitors and OLSH staff. After mingling and reminiscing for 25 minutes, we all went back into the Marian Centre Hall again for the Valedictory Assembly.

In another OLSH tradition, the College Captains for 2022 led the assembly in a tribute for our leaving seniors. Sajith Dassanayaka and Marie Domingue spoke exceptionally well at the Graduation Mass and the Valedictory Assembly, an excellent sign for 2022. Mrs. Dhingra paid an excellent tribute speech to graduating class and students recalled their highlights of their journey, including a video of the whole Year 12 cohort performing throughout the year. The Years 5 – 11 enjoyed the occasion and great to see them paying their respects to our departing seniors.
