Curriculum Information

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College provides a challenging program based on The Australian Curriculum. The Australian Curriculum is a national framework for all primary and secondary schools in Australia under progressive development, review and implementation. In our senior years, our Year 11 and 12 students engage in SACE qualifications.

The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is a modern, internationally recognised secondary school qualification designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and personal capabilities to successfully participate in our fast-paced global society. SACE paves the way for young people to move from school to work or further training and study. The certificate is based on two stages of achievement: Stage 1 (normally undertaken in Year 11) and Stage 2 (normally undertaken in Year 12).

At OLSH, there is an emphasis on students becoming self-directed learners; taking responsibility for their own study habits and task completion. Homework and assignment material are given at all levels. Teachers expect work to be completed to a high standard and handed in on time.
